The talk will describe this project.
Objective:
Students will collaboratively create a visually cohesive series of infographic posters on Career Competencies, integrating skills and knowledge from multiple disciplines to develop a professional and educational final product. Through the process, students will read and synthesize information from articles in ELA to create a detailed outline, use mind-mapping techniques to refine their ideas and learn advanced design principles in Graphic Arts to create visually compelling posters using Adobe Illustrator. In Math, students will design and conduct surveys to gather data from peers and industry professionals, then create accurate and informative graphs to incorporate into their visuals. Working in teams, students will practice essential workplace skills such as collaboration, role delegation, time management, and branding development to ensure consistency in style, color, and font across their group’s posters. The project culminates in presenting their work to peers and staff, followed by the printing and public display of their posters throughout the school, reinforcing their understanding of career competencies and educating the school community.
