I have been a member of MBEA since 2010, when I was encouraged to attend by my CTE director at the time. I have presented at MBEA in years past, have attended many summer boot camps, and have met colleagues who have become great friends. I started my teaching journey at a charter school in Detroit, MI, then I moved to northern Michigan where I have taught at Gaylord Community Schools, Cheboygan Community Schools and Johannesburg-Lewiston Area Schools, where I am currently employed. I have taught BMA, Accounting, Marketing, Introduction to Business, Computer Applications, Career and College Readiness and am a current Yearbook Advisor. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University, a Master of Art’s in Teaching with a CTE focus from Wayne State University and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Strategic Management from Davenport University. I have two Maltese Shih Tzu mix dogs, Nellie and Katie and a cat Dixie, who keep be super busy and on my toes. I am an avid reader and recently found a love for documentaries. I love spending time on Drummond Island with my family. Teaching it is still my passion, and I hope to able to keep at it until retirement, which is quite a few years away.

I look forward to serving all members on the MBEA Board.
